Horizon uses WebDKP as our loot distribution system.
Checking DKP
DKP can be checked at anytime at http://www.webdkp.com/dkp/Khazgoroth/Horizon/. Alternatively, one may whisper the guild banker with !dkp.
Gaining DKP and DKP decays
A player can earn a maximum of 30 DKP per raid night:
- 10 DKP awarded to players at 8:20pm for being online. If the officers have been advised that a player is running late, this can be awarded up to 8:30pm. Every player must be at the instance and ready to raid by 8:30pm.
- 10 DKP for half raid time. This will be awarded to individuals for a successful (accepted) ready check only, and is for completing the first hour of raiding. The player must be ready to pull at that time.
- 10 DKP at the end of the raid.
A player will receive 30 DKP if they are benched but suitable to raid. Benched players should remain contactable in case they are needed.
A raider will not be awarded any DKP if they are deemed unable to raid, in particular if they fail to meet the raiding requirements. If a raider has to leave early for an unforeseen reason or poor computer performance issues, they will not obtain any DKP from the time they have to leave.
There will be:
- 10% DKP decay every 4 weeks for all raiding players.
- 50% DKP decay after 4 weeks of raiding inactivity.
- Full DKP reset after raid absence of 8 weeks.
- Full DKP reset after a player removes their main character from the guild.
The penalties for being absent will be applied whenever a DKP decay is performed.
Spending DKP
Loot priority for both main role (MR) and off role (OR) items will be given to raiders. These are players who meet certain attendance requirements. MR loot is prioritised over OR loot within a rank. That is, MR loot for raiders is prioritised over OR loot for raiders, which is prioritised over MR loot for non-raiders.
When a player switches their main, they will normally undergo a two-week loot probation. During these two weeks the player is prioritised below other raiders for both MR and OR loot. The loot probation period will be extended an additional two weeks for every subsequent main swap during the expansion. This probation may be waived if the player is changing their main for the benefit of the guild, such as to cover a shortage of a particular role.
The loot priority is as follows:
- Raiders.
- Members.
- Initiates.
- New mains.
- Transmog.
- Disenchanted for the guild bank.
Spending DKP
The loot master will announce all dropped loot. Items will be distributed in the order they appear in the loot window, or as announced by an appropriate addon. The exception is tier pieces, which are always distributed first. Horizon DKP is completely independent of items received via bonus roll.
The loot master will call for interest in an item, along with a time limit (usually 20-30s). If you want the item for your MR, type !need in raid chat. If you want the item for your OR, type /roll.
Players may not take gear that is clearly not suited for them, even if it is an upgrade. For example, paladins may not take cloth gear, and rogues may not take gear with bonus armour.
Main role items
MR items go to the person with the highest DKP, subject to the loot priority above, and cost 50% of that person's DKP.
Horizon does not recognise sidegrades. If you intend to use the item for your MR, then it will be considered a MR award.
Off role items
MR items are prioritised above OR items, after taking into account the loot priority above. OR items go to the person with the highest roll, and cost 0 DKP. OR items are prioritised for those on the priority list. Those who take OR gear are expected to maintain their OR in case it is needed. Rogues, warlocks, mages and hunters are not eligible for OR.
Unwanted items are disenchanted for the guild bank. At the loot master's discretion, they may be offered for transmog rolls. If an item is about to be disenchanted but you want it for transmog, please ask.
Share the love
Each player may receive a maximum of one non-DKP item per night, unless all other interested players are also capped.
BoE drops
As of Patch 6.2, BoEs are considered personal loot. As such, this DKP policy does not cover BoE drops. Raiders may keep any drops that come their way.
